Custom Made by Memeky
Pick out a pair of denim jeans that you aren't afraid to customize.
- Scissors or Razor
- Sewing Machine or Hand Sew
- Optional: Transparent Thread
- Thread (that matches denim color preferably)
- Zippers of your choice from Walmart or your local craft store. The long one is 7 inches and the short one is 4 inches. In this DIY, I used the 7 inch one
Start by trying on the jeans.
Mark the jeans where you would like the slit to be. I did mine dead center on my knee.
Cut along the line you made and slide the zipper in, any way you want. After you slide it in, fold over the raw edge and pin that one side into place.
Straight stitch sew the zipper and make sure to keep a nice gap.
Do the exact same thing, but for the other side.
Use scissors, seam ripper or razor to cut off any the loose threads.
Try on your new zipper knee slit jeans and enjoy the customization.
