Russian fashion designer, Georgiy Aleksandrovich Rubchinskiy, known as Gosha Rubchinskiy, has streetwear/hypebeast circles and forums in a frenzy. Recently, via Instagram he announced the discontinuation of iconic streetwear brand Gosha Rubchinskiy.

We will stop Gosha Rubchinskiy as you’ve known it. We will have no more seasonal collections. Instead, something new is coming.

Many Gosha Rubchinskiy enthusiasts speculate that Georgiy will be focusing more on growing Paccbet, another streetwear brand he oversees with design influences from skateboard culture.

I want to change the strategy and do more project-based things. Maybe that means a womenswear line sometime. We want to do more collections and collaborations with Paccbet. Our capsule with Carhartt was only our first step.

It would be refreshing to see something new of Gosha as the market is currently saturated with other fashion brands replicating the "90's skateboarding, underground techno, post-soviet" aesthetic.
